What is naturopathic medicine?
A: Naturopathic medicine is a system of medicine that approaches health issues at the root cause and attempts to reverse or prevent the disease process. Naturopathic doctors (ND's) utilize natural, less invasive methods wherever possible, but can also prescribe prescription medications if necessary and perform other duties in the scope of primary care. Naturopathic doctors are different from traditional naturopaths in that they are trained physicians that have graduated from a professional, post-graduate institution that is nationally accredited to provide a medical doctorate degree equivalent to conventional medical doctors (MDs). In Washington state, Naturopathic physicians are licensed by the Washington State Department of Health.
What is acupuncture and how does it work?
A: Acupuncture is a complementary medical practice that uses very thin needles to stimulate points along the body to alleviate pain or to help treat a variety of health conditions. Acupuncture accelerates the body's natural healing process and brings health back into balance.
What is a Health Transformation Coach?
A: A Health Transformation Coach is trained to instruct and guide patients through the programs assigned by your doctor, to help you progress towards your health goals, and to co-create long-lasting success in your health. A Health Transformation Coach acts as a liaison between patients and their providers and can help troubleshoot any obstacles or issues with your treatment plan and communicates directly with your doctor to improve your results.
What is infrared sauna and why is it good for health?
A: Infrared sauna is the therapeutic use of infrared light to heat the deep tissues beneath the skin’s surface. It acts at deeper levels than traditional saunas which provides improved health benefits. How do I get information about your programs and how much do they cost?
A: Our programs are customized to the individual, however you can find general information under the “Our Programs” tab on our website. Our comprehensive programs range greatly in price depending on your particular needs. We offer free consultations so that we can assess your specific situation and create a plan that fits within your budget. Call to book a free consult at 206-762-4823.
What type of lab services do you offer?
A: We offer all standard lab services as well as unique, progressive labs that focus on functional health issues and prevention. We provide salivary hormone testing, genetic testing, nutritional testing, food sensitivity and allergy testing, heart disease and diabetes screening, comprehensive GI testing such as microbiome and SIBO, autoimmune testing, adrenal and thyroid testing and more.
Can you draw my blood at NaturKur?
A: Yes, you can schedule a blood draw by calling or emailing the front desk.
Where can I buy my supplements?
A: You have several options to get the high quality supplements your provider has recommended. Our Naturkur branded supplements are available on our online store at naturkurstore.com using your provider’s last name as the code. If you were prescribed a specific supplement that is n ot the Naturkur brand, it will be available for you to purchase by clicking the link that was emailed to you and creating your account. If you have already created your account you can access it directly here. We also carry a limited number of supplements in the clinic and you can call or email the office for refills.
Can I purchase my supplements somewhere else like Costco if it has the same ingredients?
A: While mainstream companies such as Costco, Super supplements, etc. have generally safe products, the ingredients may be in different forms or doses than what your provider has prescribed, therefore, it is not recommended. Please speak with your provider on which items you may purchase elsewhere and which should be purchased through them.
Is it dangerous to buy doctor-grade supplements on Amazon?
A: Doctor-grade supplements are higher quality than prescription-grade and are only sold through licensed medical providers. However, you may see these products being sold illegally on Amazon through third party sellers. Many of these products have been found to be counterfeit with unknown substances inside. For your safety, please only purchase supplements directly through your provider or from an approved resource.
Are you accepting new patients?
A: Yes, we are welcoming new patients! Since we focus on quality not quantity, we are able to maintain a smaller practice, allowing for quick scheduling and access to the team.
How do I schedule an Appointment?
A: If you are a new patient, schedule a free consult or meet and greet with the provider of your choice using our online scheduler or you can call or email the front desk to inquire about how to become a new patient.
How do I know which provider to schedule with?
A: All the providers at Naturkur have unique specialties and work together as a team. Depending on the health issue you are seeking help with, our free consultation will help determine which providers to include in your team. On our home page you can navigate through and it will link you to the specific provider. You can also browse each provider’s about page to see what their specialties are. You can also call the front desk and inquire about the providers so you can make an appointment and get started right away.
Do you offer same day appointments?
A: We offer same day appointments whenever the schedule allows, please call or email the clinic to see if we have a same day appointment available.
Do you offer telehealth? (video or phone appointments)
A: Yes,we offer telehealth services as well as coaching for our programs nationwide.To become a telehealth patient, you must be seen in the clinic first to establish care. To enroll in one of our programs outside of Washington state without first establishing care in-person, it will be on a coaching or consultative basis only.
Do you accept insurance?
A: We offer both in-network and out-of-network insurance options. However, we believe that insurance-based health care is not in alignment with our vision of optimum health. We are deemphasizing the reliance on insurance because it limits the time required to address the root cause of health issues and to provide our patients with the quality results they deserve. We have created alternative solutions to get patients feeling better faster for longer in the form of comprehensive health programs and reduced rate packages.
Will my insurance cover this?
A: For providers who are currently contracted with insurance, each plan is different so it is best to call your insurance company directly and confirm coverage. Please note, even with confirmation, your insurance can decide to reject any “covered” services. If you choose not to risk expensive surprise billing from a rejected insurance claim we can offer a time of service discount to keep you on budget.
What is the benefit of programs and packages over using insurance?
A: Our programs and packages have been thoughtfully designed to provide results-oriented care; not always possible when using insurance. Our programs include lab tests and treatment plans that do not require any prior authorization allowing our skilled providers to expedite healing for our patients without any surprise insurance bills. Programs also include a multitude of non-billable services to support our patients that improve outcomes dramatically.
Do you offer payment plans?
A: Yes, we offer flexible, no-interest financing options through GreenSky to qualified applicants for programs and packages over $1,000.
Do you accept Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) credit cards?
A: Yes, our clinic accepts both HSA and FSA cards.
How do I pay my bill?
A: Outstanding balances can be paid in your ChARM patient portal account or over the phone by calling our front desk at (206) 762-4823.

How do I access my patient portal?
A: ChARM PHR is a Personal Health Record (PHR) portal to manage your private health information. Patients can store their current and past medications, lab results, record health vitals and track progress using the built-in reports. All the health information is available online.

You will receive an email with a link to register to the Charm patient portal (check your spam folder if you don't see it in your inbox). Click the link to activate your account, and follow the prompt to set up a log-in.
How do I access my health program?
A: Bodysite is our online digital health guidance system that we use to provide customized wellness programs to our patients and program participants. When logging in, your dashboard has tools for tracking food, body metrics, syncs with FitBit, provides recipes and daily instructions directly to your inbox, and allows private messaging with your coaches.
When you are enrolled into a program, you will receive an email invitation with a link to activate your Bodysite account (check your spam if you don’t see it in your inbox). Follow the link to create a log-in with your email and password. You can also login directly from our website (For Patients —> Login) once you have created your account or click here to login now.
For mobile devices, search the App store for 'bodysite lifestyle guide', download, and use the same log-in email and password.
Location & Parking:
Where are you located?
A: We are located in the University Village area of Seattle at 4530 Union Bay Place NE, Suite 210, just upstairs from the Swedish Sandpoint Primary Care clinic.
Is your facility wheelchair accessible?
A: Yes. There is a ramp and elevator as well as a wheelchair accessible restroom. There is also ample space to move around inside of our clinic.
Do you provide free parking?
A: Yes, there are a few free spaces directly in front of our facility as well as in the Burke and Union parking garage just next door to the south, between Key Bank and General Porpoise. You can find our parking instructions here.
Are you accessible via public transit?
A: Yes, we are accessible by bus. The closest bus routes are 31, 32, 67, 75,and 78 and we are close to the University of Washington light rail station near Husky Stadium. You can use Google Maps to plan your public transit trip. Note: we are about a 25 minute walk from the light rail station or 12 minute walk (6 min) and bus (6 min) combination.
